If you are coming from México City by car.
First you must to take the main road México - Pachuca, with direction to Pachuca. Next, before you enter to the Pachuca city you need to turn left with direction to Actopan - Ixmiquilpan and take de main road to Ixmiquilpan City
When you arrive to Ixmiquilpan City. Front to the SORIANA store, you will see two semaphores... Drive to the second semaphore, and just front to the OXXO store, turn right and take the main road to Cardonal Hidalgo (Libramiento a Cardonal).
Finally, follow all the road signs, driving directly to Grutas Tolantongo

First you must to take the main road Querétaro - México, passing for San Juan del Río town and Palmillas Town, in this latest, there are an access to right to turn at the left with direction to Hichapan, Hidalgo where you take de main road to Ixmiquilpan

When you arrive in Ixmiquilpan, at the gas station called "La Huasteca" go to the center of the Ixmiquilpan city along Felipe Ángeles street, passing through the Municipal Garden and the Morelos Market, arriving at the Church of San Antonio. Next take the route to the Cardonal municipality that will take you directly to Grutas Tolantongo.

From the Puebla Bus Terminal (CAPU), you will need to take a bus from ADO or FUTURA towards the bus terminal in the city of Pachuca. Upon reaching the Pachuca terminal, you will need to catch a bus to the city of Ixmiquilpan. It can be one of the following lines: PAI, AVM, or CONEXION. First, from Tepotzotlan's bus central in Mexico state, you must take a bus (LUSA or OVNIBUS line) to Tula de Allende's bus central of hidalgo state.
When you arribe to Tula de Allende Hidalgo., you can take a bus to Ixmiquilpan Hidalgo. It can be of the LUSA line. Bus will pass for (Mixquiahuala, Progreso de Obregón, Chilcuautla).
